Unmatched Convenience and Control in the Palm of a Boater’s Hand
Yamaha takes Helm Master EX (HMEX) full maneuverability to the next level with an all-new Wireless Control System. This new system literally puts boat control in the palm of the captain’s hand, allowing for more movement around the boat while remaining in complete control at all times. The new Wireless Control System includes all Helm Master EX joystick functionality, autopilot control and Man Overboard (MOB) functions for captains and passengers. The Wireless Control System is available in single through quint configurations, and allows captains to make the most of their time on the water, transforming the boating experience with precision, automation and smart functionality. The HMEX wireless controller can be added to any HMEX that is updated to the newest HMEX software version. The Transceiver mounts below the helm and the Cradle mounts in any convenient space for charging.
SINGLE-HANDED JOYSTICK OPERATION
Single-handed operation is possible thanks to the added fingertip button. The all-new Helm Master EX Wireless Control System gives captains the advantage of maintaining full Joystick boat control while also freeing up one hand for tossing lines or adjusting fenders.
HAND-HELD HELM MASTER EX DISPLAY
With the new Wireless Control System, boat captains can monitor depth, heading and speed all in the palm of their hands. This is especially handy underway when monitoring course while using the autopilot functions.
MOB ALERTS YAMAHA MARINE RIGGING SYSTEMS
Included with this handheld control system is an integrated MOB system. A passenger or captain falling overboard will trigger the boat to decelerate to a stop in idle or immediately turn off the engines depending on the situation. The system includes one Captain’s Tag and one passenger Tag. The system will support up to eight MOB Tags and they come with a wristband and lanyard hooks so you can keep track of the entire crew and pets too. Tags are powered by button-cell batteries.
AUTOPILOT FUNCTIONALITY
With access to the Helm Master EX Autopilot functionality, the new Wireless Control System allows captains to set heading and course, making adjustments on the fly as needed. Sit back at the helm and make fine adjustments.
HELM MASTER EX LEVEL 4 JOYSTICK FUNCTIONALITY
For fishermen, the Wireless Controller will be an essential piece of gear. StayPoint®, FishPoint®, and DriftPoint® will be at your fingers whether you are at the bow on lookout, watching from the flybridge, or in the middle of the action at the stern. Simply select the function on the controller and press go. The fine-tuning adjustments you are accustomed to with the fixed Joystick are also right in your hand.
WINDLASS OR OTHER ACCESSORY INTEGRATION
During anchoring, captains can operate the windlass and engine controls from the Wireless Control System. Anchoring or pulling up to a crowded sandbar has never been easier.
IT FLOATS!
The new Wireless Control System is buoyant. That means, should it fall overboard, it will be easy to retrieve.
JOYSTICK HOLD FUNCTION
This new Wireless Control System also supports the new Joystick Hold function of Helm Master EX. Imagine cruise control in a no wake zone. Stow the lines and fenders while underway in the canal or channel after departing the dock.
